چکیده
Introduction/Objective. The objective of the study was to determine difference in peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness patients with open-angle glaucoma (POAG) comparison healthy population and according progression disease. Methods. Four groups were formed among 120 patients: group without glaucoma, early, moderate POAG, preperimetric group. Visual field optical coherent tomography performed. Results. RNFL value found be highest inferior quadrant, second superior one, third nasal lowest temporal quadrant. average quadrant (124.3 ? 17.8 ?m), one (46.5 10.8 ?m). Other values per quadrants distributed between these two endpoints. Mean (AvgThic) POAG lesser than early which, turn, that subjects (59.6 10.6 ?m vs. 73.4 12.1 105.5 11.3 AvgThic 83.6 9.2 ?m. Pearson correlation showed a high positive mean deviation following parameters: AvgThic, S, I, Smax, Imax, Savg, Iavg. Receiver operating characteristic curves parameter best diagnostic ability area 0.803 (< 0.0005), sensitivity 67%, specificity 83.3%. Conclusion. Peripapillary parameters Iavg, Imax have an excellent discriminate eyes POAG. is which makes it for detection monitoring

UNLABELLED Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness and the early diagnosis is crucial for treatment and follow-up in the progression of the disease. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the changes in mean macular thickness and volume and compare them with the mean thickness of the peripapillary nerve fiber layer in primary open angle glaucoma, using Time Domain (TD) optical coherence tomography ( OCT). ...

PURPOSE To determine if nerve fiber layer thickness (NFLT) in glaucoma patients decreases before the development of visual field loss, and if there is a difference in the thinning of NFLT between primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and normal-tension glaucoma (NTG) eyes.
